Canberra Hospital is offering an opportunity to have carers attend a workshop to discuss the new plans for the MHSSU expansion project. With the new ED expansion and hospital infrastructure project, it gives us an opportunity to review the operations of the existing Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU) and develop a Model of Care (MoC). It vital that carers have input into the process.
There are 4 spaces for carers to attend. If you are able to join us please contact Catherine mhcarers@carersact.gov.au and I provide the agenda and updated details as soon as they are available.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is developing the standards for CMOs, to continuously improve the quality of mental health services and protect people from harm.
